Casey- Now that you're going to be handing out the vinyls at the upcoming shows, what does that mean for the golden ticket?
And so the rest of us will have to wait for them to be shipped when you get back? Man, I just saw you guys two weeks ago!

(did you see the picture I made? It sure would make a sweet t-shirt if I modified it a little. nudge nudge)

OH SHIT

i forgot about the golden ticket thing.

i was gonna keep my vinyls sealed. should i open them now and see if i was the lucky one? (assuming it's sealed in one of the albums)

I don't want to open mine when it finally arrives, either. I think that it may not be sealed inside (I know initially Casey said it would be).
It could just be included with the fan for life package letter, ID badge and whatever else is in there.
Think of what a difficult request it would be to have a limited press of an album, and then have some random guy at the factory slip a golden ticket into one of them.
Did you get yours already?? Did you just get the clear vinyl or the whole shebang? How was the letter and ID badge packaged?

What kind of plastic is wrapped around the vinyl? (This is certainly inappropriate for this thread, and is probably well known, but I'm a vinyl noob so I need to ask). I'd much prefer to open it and let the elements do their thing over having acidic plastic eat away at it (if my dad was telling the truth, there was a big problem with the plastic around all the 'limited edition' issues of comics in the 90s)
I hope to set an example. You know, for children and stuff.

yeah, i got mine at the memphis show last friday night. i told one of the workers i was on the guest list and they directed me to the will call window. when i got there they gave me the vinyls, letter, lifetime pass, and my ticket in to the show.

they weren't in any sort of packaging or box or anything like they would be if shipped. they were just there for me to pickup and i had my wife run it all out to my car while i held her place in line so that i wouldn't have to lug it around the show the whole time.

true. didn't think about that. it's just shrink wrapped in plastic as normal.

maybe i should open it tonight. my act III white vinyls are opened so i guess it wouldn't be a big deal really.

come to think of it i really should've had the band sign those rare vinyls rather than my act III cd at the show.

oh well, maybe i'll take it next time.

Hello Mr. Casey,

Regarding the fan club members having their names in the Act IV liner notes, are you still keeping that for Act IV or are you going to do it with the Colors EPs since that comes out first? And also, seeing as how when you're done with all the Colors stuff you might be kinda "EP'd out", do you see that having an impact on whether or not you decide to make Act IV an EP or a full length? Provided you haven't already decided on that, of course.
The night keeps looking our way.

Casey, I hope you and the band are filling your heads with sleep and your stomachs with food soon after the tour ends tomorrow night. ^_^

Alas, I do have a question. What sort of trumpet mute is used on the intro to 'The Pimp and the Priest'?

I remember Casey saying something about Act 4 being a full LP and not an EP anymore. It was like "I think Act 4 will be as long as it needs to be" or something like that.

So after the Knitting Factory show and all the shenanigans by 28-whiskey cool-afro/flannel guy (who you handled extremely well, btw), it got me thinking - what's been the most obnoxious/annoying/difficult-to-deal with crazy drunken audience member antics that you've had to deal with so far?
